My Car Value operates mycarvalue.com.au as an online lead aggregation and vehicle valuation comparison platform. We connect private vehicle sellers with independently operated car buying businesses across Australia.

My Car Value is NOT a car buyer, dealer, broker, or financial services provider. We do not purchase vehicles, take ownership of any vehicle at any time, or facilitate the transfer of funds between buyers and sellers.

2. Valuations Are Estimates Only

Any valuation, price estimate, or cash offer displayed on this platform is generated using market data algorithms and third-party buyer inputs. These figures are indicative only and do not constitute a legally binding offer or guarantee of any price.

Actual sale prices may differ significantly based on physical vehicle inspection, market conditions at time of sale, and individual buyer assessments. My Car Value accepts no liability for any discrepancy between an estimated valuation and a final agreed price.

3. Third-Party Buyer Disclaimer

The car buying companies listed on this platform are independent businesses that have registered as subscribers. My Car Value does not:

• employ, partner with, or act as agent for any listed buyer;
• conduct background checks, verify trading history, or guarantee the legitimacy of any listed buyer;
• guarantee that any buyer will honour a quoted offer;
• take responsibility for the conduct, communication, or payment practices of any listed buyer;
• mediate, arbitrate, or intervene in any transaction between a seller and a buyer.

Sellers are strongly encouraged to conduct their own due diligence before proceeding with any buyer. This includes verifying the buyer’s ABN, physical business address, and online reviews.

My Car Value shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, fraud, or dispute arising from interactions between sellers and listed buyers.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and applicable legislation, My Car Value, its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

• any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of this platform;
• inaccurate valuations or misleading information provided by third-party buyers;
• failure of any buyer to complete a transaction;
• technical errors, platform downtime, or data loss;
• any reliance placed on content published on this website.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes any consumer guarantee or right that cannot be excluded under the ACL.

SECTION 2 — COMMUNICATIONS & SPAM POLICY

5. How We Use Your Contact Details

When you submit your name, phone number, or email address through any form on this platform, you acknowledge and consent to the following uses of your contact information:

If you do not wish to be contacted by buyers, please do not submit your details through our quote form.

7. Marketing Communications

My Car Value may send you marketing emails or SMS messages only where you have explicitly opted in. Each marketing communication will include a clear and functional unsubscribe option.

To opt out of marketing communications at any time, you may:

• Click the ‘Unsubscribe’ link in any marketing email;
• Reply STOP to any marketing SMS;
• Email us at support@mycarvalue.com.au with the subject line ‘Unsubscribe’.

Unsubscribe requests will be actioned within 5 business days. Opting out of marketing does not prevent us from sending service-related communications about your active enquiry.
