To be listed on My Car Value, your business must meet the following mandatory criteria:

  • Hold a valid Australian Business Number (ABN) — active and verifiable;
  • Operate from a registered yard or business premises with a valid physical address (proof required);
  • Comply with all applicable Australian state and federal laws relating to vehicle purchasing and disposal;
  • Agree to and abide by the My Car Value Buyer Code of Conduct.
Important: My Car Value reserves the right to decline any application or remove any listing at its discretion. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval.

Step 3 — Review & Approval: Our team will review your application within 3–5 business days and contact you with the outcome.

Step 4 — Activate your listing: Once approved, you will receive a payment link to activate your subscription and go live on the platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a setup fee?

No. There are no setup fees. You only pay the monthly or annual subscription fee.

What if I don’t receive any leads?

My Car Value does not guarantee any minimum number of leads or sales. Our platform connects you with sellers, but outcomes depend on market demand and your service area. No refunds are issued on the basis of lead volume.

Can I list multiple locations?

The current subscription covers a single business listing. If you wish to list multiple yards or locations, each will require a separate subscription. Contact us at support@mycarvalue.com.au to discuss multi-location arrangements.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You may cancel your subscription at any time by sending a cancellation request to support@mycarvalue.com.au. Please review our Subscription Terms & Conditions for details on refunds and cancellation terms.

Terms & Conditions For Buyers

1. Definitions

“Platform”mycarvalue.com.au and all associated services operated by My Car Value
“Subscriber” / “You”The registered car buying business that has entered into a subscription
“Listing”The display of your business details on the My Car Value platform
“Lead”A seller enquiry that includes vehicle and contact details, made accessible to listed buyers
“Subscription Fee”The recurring fee payable by the Subscriber as outlined in these terms
“GST”Goods and Services Tax at the rate of 10% as per the A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999

2. Eligibility & Registration

To subscribe, you must:

  • Be a legally registered business in Australia with a valid, active ABN;
  • Operate from a fixed physical yard or premises and provide verifiable proof of address;
  • Comply with all state and federal laws governing the purchase, handling, and disposal of motor vehicles;
  • Not be listed on any government debarment, blacklist, or prohibited trader register.

My Car Value reserves the right to reject any application without providing reasons and to request additional verification documents at any time.

3. Subscription Plans & Pricing

3.1 Monthly Subscription: AUD $100.00 per month, exclusive of GST. GST of 10% is charged separately, bringing the total monthly charge to AUD $110.00.

3.2 Annual Subscription: AUD $1,020.00 per annum, exclusive of GST (a saving of 15% on the equivalent monthly rate). GST is charged separately, bringing the total upfront charge to AUD $1,122.00. Annual subscriptions must be paid in full at the time of activation.

3.3 The subscription entitles the Subscriber to a single business listing on the My Car Value platform, displayed within the top 5 buyer results presented to sellers in the Subscriber’s nominated service area.

3.4 Pricing is subject to change. My Car Value will provide no less than 30 days’ written notice of any price increase. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

4. Billing & Payment

4.1 Monthly subscriptions are billed on the same calendar date each month from the date of activation.

4.2 Annual subscriptions are billed as a single upfront payment at the time of activation.

4.3 All payments must be made via the payment method specified at the time of subscription activation. It is the Subscriber’s responsibility to ensure payment details remain current and that sufficient funds are available.

4.4 A valid tax invoice inclusive of GST will be issued for each payment in compliance with the A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999.

4.5 My Car Value does not store credit card or banking details directly. Payments are processed via a third-party payment gateway, subject to that provider’s terms and security standards.

5. Renewal

5.1 Subscriptions are NOT auto-renewed. It is the Subscriber’s sole responsibility to manually renew their subscription on or before the due date.

5.2 My Car Value may, at its discretion, send a renewal reminder via email prior to the subscription expiry date. The platform is under no obligation to issue such reminders, and failure to receive a reminder does not relieve the Subscriber of the obligation to renew on time.

5.3 If a subscription expires and is not renewed, the Subscriber’s listing will be deactivated on the expiry date. Reactivation will require a new subscription payment.

6. Cancellation Policy

6.1 Subscribers may cancel their subscription at any time by sending a written cancellation request to support@mycarvalue.com.au. The subject line must read: ‘Subscription Cancellation – [Business Name]’.

6.2 Cancellations must be submitted via email only. Verbal, chat, or social media cancellation requests will not be accepted.

6.3 Upon receipt of a valid cancellation request, My Car Value will deactivate the listing at the end of the current billing month.

6.4 Cancellation requests submitted partway through a billing month will result in the listing remaining active until the end of that month. No refund will be issued for the partial month in which the cancellation request is submitted.

7. Refund Policy

7.1 Monthly Subscription Refunds: Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing period has commenced. No refunds will be issued for the current billing month, regardless of when the cancellation is requested.

7.2 Annual Subscription Refunds: Annual subscribers who cancel mid-term are entitled to a pro-rata refund calculated on a monthly basis, for the full calendar months remaining after the month in which cancellation is requested.

7.3 Annual Refund Calculation Example: If a Subscriber on the annual plan cancels at the start of Month 4, they will receive a refund for Months 5 through 12 (8 full remaining months). The refund will be calculated as: (8 months × AUD $85.00 effective monthly rate) = AUD $680.00, minus applicable GST adjustments.

7.4 The 15% annual discount is applied to the effective monthly rate for refund calculations. The discount is not refunded as a lump sum.

7.5 Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of the cancellation being confirmed and will be returned to the original payment method.

7.6 My Car Value subscription fees are non-refundable on the basis of lead volume, quality, or conversion outcomes.

8. Lead Quality — No Guarantee

8.1 My Car Value makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee of any kind regarding:

  • The number of leads a Subscriber will receive during any subscription period;
  • The quality, accuracy, or genuineness of any seller enquiry;
  • The likelihood of any lead converting into a completed vehicle purchase;
  • The condition, value, or ownership status of any vehicle submitted by a seller.

8.2 The Subscriber acknowledges and accepts that lead volume and quality are subject to market demand, platform traffic, and geographic factors entirely outside My Car Value’s control.

8.3 My Car Value is a technology platform only. It is not a lead generation agency, sales representative, or guarantor of commercial outcomes.

9. Account Suspension & Termination

My Car Value reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate a Subscriber’s listing and account, with or without prior notice, in any of the following circumstances:

  • Failure to maintain a valid ABN or business registration;
  • Provision of false, misleading, or fraudulent information during registration or at any point during the subscription;
  • Breach of the Buyer Code of Conduct;
  • Harassment, abuse, or threatening behaviour directed at sellers or My Car Value staff;
  • Engaging in conduct that My Car Value reasonably believes may damage its reputation, harm sellers, or violate applicable laws;
  • Failure to pay subscription fees when due;
  • Non-compliance with any direction issued by a regulatory authority relating to vehicle purchasing or disposal.

In the event of termination for breach, no refund will be issued. My Car Value’s decision to suspend or terminate a subscription is final and not subject to appeal through the platform.

10. Intellectual Property

My Car Value retains all intellectual property rights in the platform, including its design, content, algorithms, and branding. Subscribers must not copy, reproduce, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia (or the relevant state of My Car Value’s registration). Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.

12. Amendments

My Car Value reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on the website with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform following publication of updated terms constitutes acceptance.

Code of Conduct For Buyers

1. Purpose

This Buyer Code of Conduct establishes the minimum standards of behaviour and professional conduct expected of all registered buyers on the My Car Value platform. These standards protect sellers, maintain the integrity of the platform, and uphold consumer trust.

By activating a subscription, you agree to comply with this Code in full. This Code operates in addition to (and not in substitution of) your obligations under all applicable Australian laws.

2. Honest & Transparent Dealings

  • You must provide fair, genuine, and honest cash offers to sellers based on the vehicle information provided.
  • You must not make speculative or inflated offers with the intent of lowering the price upon physical inspection without reasonable justification.
  • You must clearly communicate any changes to a quoted offer, and the reasons for such changes, before proceeding with a transaction.
  • You must not misrepresent your business name, location, credentials, or services on or off the platform.

3. Respectful Communication

  • You must treat all sellers with courtesy and professionalism at all times.
  • You must not engage in harassment, intimidation, pressure selling, or aggressive communication tactics.
  • You must not contact sellers repeatedly or outside of reasonable hours after the seller has indicated they do not wish to proceed.
  • You must not use offensive, threatening, or discriminatory language in any communication with sellers or My Car Value staff.

4. Data Protection & Privacy

  • Seller contact details and vehicle information shared via My Car Value must be used solely for the purpose of making a purchase offer.
  • You must not share, sell, or provide seller data to any third party for any purpose.
  • You must not add sellers to mailing lists or marketing databases without their explicit consent.
  • You must comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and all applicable Australian Privacy Principles in relation to any personal data received via the platform.

5. Legal Compliance

  • You must maintain a valid ABN and comply with all business registration requirements applicable in your state or territory.
  • You must comply with all laws relating to the purchase, storage, dismantling, and disposal of motor vehicles, including Environmental Protection legislation applicable in your jurisdiction.
  • You must not purchase vehicles you know or reasonably suspect to be stolen, written off without disclosure, encumbered, or subject to active legal proceedings.
  • You must comply with any directions issued by a regulatory body in relation to your vehicle purchasing or disposal activities.

6. Platform Integrity

  • You must not attempt to manipulate, game, or circumvent the platform’s lead allocation or ranking system.
  • You must not create multiple accounts or listings to gain an unfair advantage on the platform.
  • You must not post false reviews, testimonials, or ratings on any platform relating to My Car Value or its competitors.
  • You must not solicit or incentivise sellers to submit false or duplicate enquiries.

7. Reporting Obligations

If you become aware of any conduct by another buyer, seller, or third party that violates this Code or applicable law, you are encouraged to report it to My Car Value at support@mycarvalue.com.au.

8. Consequences of Breach

Breach of this Code of Conduct may result in any or all of the following actions taken by My Car Value at its sole discretion:

  • A formal written warning;
  • Temporary suspension of your listing and account access;
  • Permanent termination of your subscription without refund;
  • Referral of the matter to relevant regulatory authorities where the breach involves possible criminal or civil liability.

My Car Value’s decision in relation to Code of Conduct breaches is final and not subject to appeal through the platform.

9. Acknowledgement

By subscribing to My Car Value, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by this Buyer Code of Conduct in full.

ABOUT SUBSCRIPTION & PRICING

How much does it cost to list my business on My Car Value?

The standard subscription is AUD $100 per month, plus GST (10%), making the total monthly charge AUD $110. If you choose to subscribe annually and pay upfront, you receive a 15% discount — bringing the annual total to AUD $1,020 + GST (AUD $1,122 inclusive of GST).

Is GST included in the advertised price?

No. All prices displayed are exclusive of GST. GST at 10% is added at checkout. A valid tax invoice will be issued for every payment, suitable for your BAS reporting.

Are there any setup fees or hidden charges?

No. There are no setup fees, installation fees, or ongoing charges beyond the subscription fee. What you see is what you pay.

Can I list multiple yards or business locations?

The current subscription covers a single business listing for one location. If you operate multiple yards and wish to list each one separately, each location will require its own subscription. Please contact support@mycarvalue.com.au to discuss multi-location arrangements.

ABOUT ELIGIBILITY & APPLICATION

Who can apply to become a listed buyer?

Any legally registered car buying business in Australia can apply. You must have a valid and active ABN and be able to provide proof of a physical yard or business premises. This may include a signed lease agreement, a utility bill in the business name, or a council business permit.

My business is a sole trader. Can I still apply?

Yes, provided you hold a valid ABN and can demonstrate a fixed physical location from which you operate your car buying business.

How long does the approval process take?

Our team reviews applications within 3–5 business days. You will be notified via email of the outcome. If additional documentation is required, we will contact you during this period.

Can My Car Value decline my application?

Yes. My Car Value reserves the right to decline any application at its discretion, including applications where we are unable to verify eligibility criteria. We are not obligated to provide reasons for a declined application.

ABOUT LEADS & LISTINGS

How does my listing appear to sellers?

Your business will be displayed within the top 5 buyer results shown to sellers after they submit a vehicle enquiry that matches your nominated service area. Sellers will see your business name, location, and contact details, and may reach out to you directly.

How many leads can I expect per month?

My Car Value does not guarantee any minimum number of leads. Lead volume depends on platform traffic, market demand in your area, and the types of vehicles sellers are looking to offload. We strongly encourage prospective subscribers to understand this before applying.

Are leads exclusive to me?

No. Seller enquiries are displayed to multiple listed buyers within the same service area. My Car Value does not offer exclusive lead packages at this time.

What information is included in a lead?

Leads include the seller’s name, contact number, city, vehicle make, model, year, and any noted faults or conditions. The depth of information depends on what the seller has submitted through the quote form.

ABOUT BILLING & RENEWALS

Does my subscription auto-renew?

No. Subscriptions do not auto-renew. You must manually renew your subscription on or before the expiry date to maintain your active listing. My Car Value may send a courtesy reminder email, but is not obligated to do so.

What happens if I don’t renew on time?

If your subscription lapses, your listing will be deactivated on the expiry date. You will need to resubscribe to reactivate your listing. Reactivation is subject to re-approval at My Car Value’s discretion.

How are invoices issued?

A GST-compliant tax invoice will be automatically generated and emailed to you upon each payment. If you require a copy of a previous invoice, please email support@mycarvalue.com.au.

ABOUT CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

How do I cancel my subscription?

Send a cancellation request via email to support@mycarvalue.com.au with the subject line ‘Subscription Cancellation – [Your Business Name]’. Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email only — we are unable to process cancellations made verbally, via social media, or through chat.

Will I receive a refund if I cancel?

Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. If you are on a monthly plan and cancel, your listing will remain active until the end of the current billing month, and no refund will be issued for that month.

Annual subscribers who cancel mid-term are entitled to a pro-rata refund for full remaining months only. If you cancel in the middle of a month, that month is not included in the refund calculation. Refunds are processed within 14 business days.

Can I get a refund if I don’t receive any leads?

No. My Car Value does not issue refunds on the basis of lead volume, lead quality, or commercial outcomes. By subscribing, you acknowledge and accept that leads are not guaranteed.

ABOUT ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

Can my subscription be suspended or terminated by My Car Value?

Yes. My Car Value reserves the right to suspend or terminate any subscription for breach of the Buyer Code of Conduct, provision of false information, non-payment, or any conduct that My Car Value determines is harmful to sellers, the platform, or its reputation. In the event of termination for breach, no refund will be issued.

How do I update my business details?

To update your business name, contact number, service area, or other listing details, please email support@mycarvalue.com.au. Changes will be reflected within 2 business days.
